Mac Security Information

Slides from the Mac Managers' presentation on PPM policy 310-022 are now available. They've been updated to include the new name of the policy: UC Davis Cyber Security Project, and some additional annotation. Also included is a slide showing the Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" password assistant that can offer suggestions for a variety of complexity settings, and rate the "quality" of a password. The slides are available in the original Keynote format, as well as PowerPoint. Either set can be downloaded from: http://www.geology.ucdavis.edu/~waterstraat/security/cyber-security/

PDF versions of the IT Security Symposium presentation on security for the Macintosh platform. Two versions are available: one of just the slides, and the other of the slides and notes. A couple of slides have been added since the presentation to help answer some of the questions that were asked at the presentation, including: "How do I know if my AppleShare connection is operating over a secure connection?."
